How about expanding the custom log-in field to a maximum of 256 characters? 256 isn't really much bigger, and allows for some more creative, descriptive and vivid log-ins.
Also, set the maxlength property of the text field to the maximum length of the log-in string. The way it currently works, you can read all your message while you're typing, but the zone drops off characters after its imposed limit. Coordinating the Maxlength HTML property would prevent this from happening, and users would know exactly what they're getting in return.
I don't like having to repeatedly check my account edit page, just to make sure my log-in message isn't severed at the end.
I also hate having to be told by others that my log in message has been cut off.
I know this is a premium feature but whats the long in message do? Allow premiums to create their own and when the premium user comes on the rest sees it in quick notes?
Yes. It replaces your default "%name% has just logged in." with "%name% %CustomLoginString%".
Ah and curious to know who customed theirs and what it says since I don't do public qns
I've changed the max length from 200 to 255. Also, just changed all of the boxes on the edit account page to have a maximum length that matches what we allow in the database. This'll go in on the next site update.
